The San Marzano tomato is a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) tomato exclusively cultivated in the Agro Sarnese-Nocerino territory, where Conserve Manfuso Srl is also located. The production of San Marzano PDO tomato preserves is the company’s pride, which has been canning this prized tomato since 1983. The San Marzano PDO tomato is an ancient cultivar, characterized by its elongated shape compared to regular tomatoes, with a vivid red color, firm and fleshy pulp, and a sweet-tart flavor.
